Ex-CDA officials booked over plot fraud
The Federal Investigation Agency's (FIA) Corporate Crime Circle, Islamabad, has registered a case against former Capital Development Authority (CDA) officials and other alleged suspects over the purported illegal allotment of 10 residential plots.
Officials said the competent board approved the case after completing inquiry (35/2024) into alleged fraud in the CDA's Directorate of Land and Rehabilitation.
The FIR states that the inquiry identified the alleged illegal allotment of 10 residential plots, measuring 30 by 60 feet each, in Sector I-12/4. The plots were reportedly allotted in the names of legal heirs, allegedly granting the same affected family double rehabilitation benefits.
The inquiry also identified alleged forgery and misuse of authority. Sajid Aslam submitted a claim for plot allotment on September 11, 2017. According to the inquiry, the affected person, Aslam, had already received government land in Multan district.
Former CDA Director of Land Irfanullah, Administrative Officer Asghar Ali, dealing assistants Faqir Muhammad and Asghar, former Director General of Land Afnan Alam, and former Director of Land Sidra Anwar, among others, have been named in the case.
The FIA has indicated that the role of former CDA Member Estate Yaser Shah and other individuals will also be determined during the investigation.
