Eric Stonestreet will return as Al Walker in 'Dexter: Resurrection' Season 2, premiering October 30 on Paramount+

Eric Stonestreet is set to return as Al Walker in Season 2 of Paramount+’s Dexter: Resurrection, reprising his role as the serial killer also known as Rapunzel.
Stonestreet announced his return during the show’s New York Comic-Con panel, where he surprised the audience by joining cast members Michael C. Hall, Uma Thurman, James Remar, Jack Alcott, Bokeem Woodbine and Krysten Ritter. Showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips also attended the panel alongside other members of the creative team.
Stonestreet first appeared in Season 1 as Al Walker, one of the killers recruited by Leon Prater. Dexter Morgan, played by Hall, initially planned to kill Al as he had the other members of the group. However, Al left New York and returned to his suburban life before Dexter could carry out his plan.
Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection is scheduled to premiere on October 30 on Paramount+ for Premium Plan subscribers. The upcoming season will follow Dexter as he becomes caught between two killers while dealing with what the series describes as his greatest enemy yet: a mid-life crisis.
Meanwhile, Dexter’s son Harrison, played by Alcott, continues his own pursuit of justice as the father-and-son relationship enters a darker chapter.
The second season will also feature Brian Cox as the New York Ripper and Dan Stevens as the Five Borough Killer. Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Desmond Harrington and Gabriel Luna are also joining the cast.
Phillips developed the series and serves as showrunner and executive producer, while Hall executive produces alongside his starring role. Dexter: Resurrection is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios.
