Ariana Grande’s appearance in the latest Focker-In-Law teaser has prompted renewed discussion among viewers about how closely her character resembles her public image.

Grande plays former FBI negotiator Olivia Jones in the upcoming comedy. When the first trailer was released earlier this year, social media users commented that the singer looked "too much" like herself, with some comparing her appearance with her role as Glinda in the Wicked films.

The latest teaser, shared by Paramount Pictures, has led to further reactions. Some viewers praised Grande’s appearance, including what they described as her "real" and unfiltered skin.

"call me crazy but i love that there isn't a filter here. her skin is so beautiful and it looks like real life omg," one commenter wrote.

"she is soooooooooooooo BEAUTIFUL," another added, while a further viewer said, "I love her makeup. She looks amazing."

However, other viewers continued to question whether Grande’s hair and makeup sufficiently distinguish her from her usual appearance.

"Why does the hair and makeup look like Ariana hair and makeup," one person wrote.

"everyone else in the trailer is looking natural but she looks like she is about to go to an event," another commenter suggested.

Others focused on Grande’s performance, with one viewer writing, "I'm not trying to hate but it just feels like she's acting as herself."

Another agreed, writing, "shes acting as herself same makeup same hairstyle nothings changed."

The discussion follows earlier attention around Grande’s appearance in the first Focker-In-Law trailer, which also prompted comparisons with her public image and her portrayal of Glinda.

Grande is set to star alongside the film’s ensemble cast as Olivia Jones, a former FBI negotiator.
