Tyra Banks breaks silence on Law Roach feud rumours after 'Project Runway' clash

Tyra Banks has addressed speculation about a feud with Law Roach following their heated exchange on Season 22 of Project Runway.

The America’s Next Top Model alum discussed their relationship in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, saying she was surprised by the reaction to their on-screen disagreement.

“People lost their damn minds on that,” Banks said, questioning why viewers believed the pair were seriously feuding. She added that she found the speculation “weird” and confirmed that Roach was not responsible for her departure from the series.

The disagreement occurred during the fifth episode of Project Runway Season 22, when Banks and Roach accused each other of “overstepping” while critiquing contestants.

Roach later appeared to reference Banks’ famous America’s Next Top Model speech while reviewing a contestant’s look. Banks appeared unimpressed by the impression, further fuelling speculation about tension between the two judges.

Banks also remained cryptic about reports surrounding her early departure from Project Runway, saying viewers did not know what her contract stated.

Roach has also addressed the speculation, praising Banks for introducing him to reality television through America’s Next Top Model. He said he would “always respect her” for that opportunity.

However, Roach maintained that he considers himself the leading fashion expert on Project Runway, apart from editor-in-chief Nina Garcia. He described Banks primarily as a model when asked whether they were on the same level as fashion experts.

While neither star has explicitly confirmed a personal feud, their Season 22 clash has continued to generate discussion among Project Runway viewers. Banks’ latest comments suggest she is not taking the speculation as seriously as fans have.
