Angelina Jolie is reportedly preparing to spend more time living in Europe, but a new report claims her six children will remain in the United States.

According to an insider cited by In Touch, Jolie’s children have different plans for where they want to live, with Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne reportedly preferring Los Angeles, while Maddox, Pax and Zahara are said to favour the East Coast.

“The hard part is that most of her kids will not be coming with her,” the source told the publication.

The insider claimed that Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne “want to stay in L.A.” while Maddox, Pax and Zahara “all want to be on the East Coast.”

The report comes as Jolie, 51, has reportedly been preparing for a new chapter outside the US. In September 2025, while attending the San Sebastián Film Festival in Spain, the actress discussed her changing feelings towards her home country.

“I love my country, but at this time, I don't recognize my country,” she said at the time.

Jolie has also reportedly put changes in place that could support spending more time abroad. The actress recently sold her longtime Los Feliz home, the former Cecil B. DeMille estate, for a reported $24.75 million.

According to the insider, Jolie is happy that her children are establishing independent lives but is reportedly finding the prospect of being separated from them difficult.

“She’s happy that they're making their own lives and she will of course come back to the States to visit them,” the source said. “But it's still going to be a huge adjustment. She's very emotional about it.”

Jolie shares all six children with former husband Brad Pitt. The reported plans would see the family living in different parts of the US and Europe as the children continue building their own lives.
