Kim Kardashian has revealed that five nannies help care for the four children she shares with ex-husband Kanye West, while she remains closely involved in their daily routines.
According to the Sunday Times’ Style Magazine, Kardashian has one nanny on rotation whenever her children, North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7, are staying with her.
Despite having additional childcare support, the Skims founder said she takes responsibility for taking her children to and from school and makes time for family dinners each evening.
“I think I am an intermediate-strict parent,” Kardashian said. “I’m extremely patient and loving. I still have a kid sleep in my bed when they want. I read books with the kids every night.”
Kardashian also discussed co-parenting with West, particularly regarding their daughter North’s developing music career.
“That is something that her dad and I have better communication about,” she said. “We make sure we’re aligned and that she’s in projects that we both approve.”
Kardashian and West were married from 2014 to 2022 and have experienced a complicated co-parenting relationship.
Kardashian previously acknowledged feeling “alone” while raising their children despite having significant support.
“People will always jump to the, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help,'” she said in a 2024 interview. Kardashian added that she was “basically raising four kids by [herself].”
The reality star has continued balancing motherhood with her business and entertainment career. She founded Skims in 2019 and has also pursued acting and legal studies.
Kardashian is currently working on several projects and is in a relationship with Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton. West married Bianca Censori in December 2022.
