Khloé Kardashian recalls travelling to Tennessee to spend time with Dolly Parton for her 2025 podcast

Khloé Kardashian has reflected on the time she spent with Dolly Parton while recalling the country music star’s appearance on her Khloé in Wonder Land podcast in 2025.

Kardashian said she felt “blessed and fortunate” to have spent time with Parton, who appeared on the podcast in July 2025. The reality star travelled to Tennessee to record the episode.

“I think I was one of her last podcasts that she did,” Kardashian told People. “I flew to Tennessee. I got to be with her. I feel so blessed and fortunate that it happened. I can't believe how lucky I am.”

Kardashian also recalled Parton’s approach to her public image, saying she was “sort of like a caricature of herself”.

“She loved it and leaned into it and made no apologies for it,” Kardashian said.

The Good American founder said she related to Parton’s willingness to embrace the public persona she had created for herself, drawing a comparison with her own family’s experience in the public eye.

“She’s in on the joke, and I always think me and my family are also in on the joke,” Kardashian explained. “So I really relate to that type of mentality. I really respect that she just did what she loved to do, and it was harmless, and it was for her. And everyone respected it.”

“That’s how we should all treat others, everyone,” she added.

Parton died aged 80 on August 25, according to the supplied information. Her nephew Bryan Seaver announced her death in an Instagram video, while her team later confirmed that she had experienced a brief, private battle with cancer.
