God of War Laufey pre-order bonuses and Deluxe Edition revealed

Pre-orders for God of War Laufey will open on September 29, 2026, ahead of the PlayStation 5 game’s launch on February 16, 2027, with Sony revealing the pre-order bonuses and Digital Deluxe Edition contents.

The pre-order edition includes the full game, either digitally or physically, along with the Last Wish armour set for Laufey, the Golden Leaves appearance for Phranque the cube and an in-game resource pack.

The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the full game, a digital mini artbook, the Dark Alchemy armour set for Laufey, Dark Alchemy Blade, Dark Alchemy Bow and Dark Alchemy Catalyst items, an in-game resource pack and the official digital soundtrack.

The announcement also provided further details about Laufey’s Serpent Bow. The weapon can switch between a precision mode for charged shots and a mobile half-aim stance designed for close-range combat.

Players can change arrow types to create rapid-fire attacks, explosions and multi-target volleys, while different Scales alter the bow’s appearance and perks.

Laufey’s armour, blade and Catalyst artefacts will also contribute to the game’s build-crafting system.

A newly revealed screenshot has also prompted questions about Kratos’ role in the game. The image shows Laufey with Kratos in what appears to be an Ancient Greek temple, despite Laufey being separated from Kratos following her death and not having visited Ancient Greece during his earlier life.

Kratos has already appeared in footage from the game, including a scene showing him burning Laufey’s body on a funeral pyre before she awakens in the Everywhen, an afterlife for gods from different mythologies.

The new image has led to speculation among fans about whether the Kratos shown is the version living through the events of God of War and Ragnarök, or another version encountered in the Everywhen.

God of War Laufey will launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 on February 16, 2027.
