Olivia Rodrigo breaks her own chart record with 13 weeks at No. 1

Olivia Rodrigo’s third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, has broken her own Billboard record after spending 13 weeks at No. 1 on two album charts.

The album remains at the top of Billboard’s Top Alternative Albums chart, which ranks the most-consumed albums and EPs in the US that fit within the alternative genre.

Its latest week at No. 1 moves it ahead of Rodrigo’s previous record with her second album, Guts.

Guts debuted at No. 1 on the Top Alternative Albums chart in September 2023 and spent 12 weeks at the top during its run.

You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love had been tied with the album at 12 weeks before taking the record outright.

Rodrigo’s latest album has also spent 13 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart. Guts previously held the record on that ranking with nine weeks at the top.

The album appears on six Billboard charts this week and remains within the top five on all of them. It ranks No. 3 on the Billboard 200, No. 4 on Top Streaming Albums and No. 5 on Vinyl Albums. It also rises three places to No. 5 on Top Album Sales.

Rodrigo also has Guts on both the Top Alternative Albums and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts. The album rises to No. 7 on the former and moves from No. 13 to No. 11 on the latter.

All three of Rodrigo’s studio albums appear on the Billboard 200 this week. You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love ranks No. 3, while Sour rises to No. 38 and Guts moves to No. 51.
