90 Day Fiancé’s Sarper Güven breaks silence on Shekinah Garner split

90 Day Fiancé star Sarper Güven has addressed his split from Shekinah Garner, confirming that the couple have been separated for at least eight months.

Güven, 44, shared the update on Instagram on September 22, saying their relationship had come to an end after four years. He said the pair first met in Turkey and described Garner as his first “real love,” while acknowledging that their relationship could no longer continue.

“I do want to make one thing clear. Despite what she has claimed, I never chose fame or money over her,” Güven wrote, responding to claims made by Garner about their breakup.

Garner, 43, had previously accused Güven of using their appearance on 90 Day: The Last Resort as promotion for his comedy career rather than as an effort to repair their marriage. Güven denied the allegation and said he did not want their relationship to become an “online war.”

The couple appeared on season 3 of 90 Day: The Last Resort in an attempt to work through their relationship issues. Although they recommitted to each other during the season, they confirmed their separation during the tell-all on September 21.

Güven also clarified that the couple no longer considers themselves married. He said they had been apart since early 2026 and that he now considers himself single.

Güven and Garner met while she was vacationing in Turkey, with their relationship later featured on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. They married in November 2024 after Güven moved to the United States on a K-1 visa.
