‘First We Feast’ expands ‘Hot Ones’ franchise with Joe Santagato to host new ‘Hot Ones: Game Night’ series

Doctor Mike will appear in premiere, with Neil deGrasse Tyson among upcoming guests

First We Feast is expanding the Hot Ones franchise with a new series, Hot Ones: Game Night, hosted by Joe Santagato. The show is set to premiere September 30 at 1pm ET on the First We Feast YouTube channel, with Doctor Mike confirmed as the guest for the opening episode.

The new programme will bring the familiar spicy challenge associated with Hot Ones into a board game format. According to the official description, celebrity guests will roll dice, move around a custom themed board and face challenges and questions based on their personalities and personal stories. Prizes will also be available as the guests progress through the game.

The format will continue to feature the franchise's signature heat. As the game becomes increasingly difficult, Santagato and his guests will work together to complete

Santagato, who is known for The Basement Yard, will also serve as an executive producer on the series. He said he has been a fan of Hot Ones and described the opportunity to join the franchise as an exciting experience. He also explained that his own experience of playing games with friends and family helped make the board game interview concept appealing to him.

The host acknowledged that taking on the series also means eating extremely spicy wings during each episode. While he said the heat remains difficult to get used to, he described the experience as worthwhile.

The first episode will feature Doctor Mike, while upcoming guests are set to include astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and Frank Alvarez.

Hot Ones: Game Night is the latest original series from First We Feast, whose programming slate also includes Hot Ones, Hot Ones Versus, Hot Ones Wing Pong, Pro Moves and Heat Eaters.

First We Feast began in 2012 at Complex Media and has since developed into a major digital entertainment brand through the popularity of Hot Ones. The company says its combined platforms now have more than 27 million followers.
