Kate Beckinsale has shared a series of cryptic messages on Instagram, prompting questions about the meaning behind the posts.

The Underworld actress posted a black image featuring the word “bye” in white lettering on her Instagram feed on Sunday, September 20. She did not include a caption with the post.

Beckinsale also shared a photo of a rainbow appearing at the end of a street on her Instagram Stories. Written across the image was the message, “Congratulations you won. I give up.”

The actress did not provide further context about either post, and it was not immediately clear who or what the messages were directed towards. A representative for Beckinsale did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The latest Instagram posts come after Beckinsale cleared her account in August and later shared screenshots of comments she had received about her appearance and weight.

At the time, the actress addressed comments about her weight loss following the death of her mother, Judy Loe, in 2025. Beckinsale explained that bereavement had affected her physically and criticised people who commented on her appearance.

She also previously revealed that she had been diagnosed with mast cell activation syndrome, or MCAS.

Among the comments she shared were remarks questioning her weight and urging her to eat. Beckinsale responded to some of the criticism on Instagram, explaining that she had been dealing with the effects of grief.

Her latest posts have once again drawn attention from followers, although Beckinsale has not publicly explained their meaning.
