Pokémon MMO reportedly in development for release after Gen 11

A long-rumoured Pokémon multi-region MMO is reportedly in development, although the project may not be released until after Generation 11.

The latest speculation comes from Pokémon leaker Centro LEAKS, who claimed that Game Freak has been gradually preparing the franchise for a full massively multiplayer online game.

The account pointed to online features introduced across recent generations as evidence of a potential larger plan.

According to Centro LEAKS, Generation 8 introduced visible random trainers in certain areas, while Generation 9 expanded online interaction across the entire map.

The leaker claimed Generation 10 has continued that progression with MMO-style quests and cooperative play.

Centro LEAKS initially suggested that a full MMORPG could arrive with Generation 11 or late in Generation 10.

However, another account responding to the post claimed that the MMO would not be Generation 11 itself and would instead launch sometime afterwards.

The reported project could potentially be a separate Pokémon game featuring multiple regions, persistent online spaces and quests designed around cooperation between players. However, the claims have not been officially confirmed.

Neither Game Freak, Nintendo nor The Pokémon Company has confirmed that a Pokémon MMO is in development.

The leak also does not provide a title, release window, platforms, developer details or information about how the proposed project would connect to the mainline Pokémon series.
