Kelly Osbourne has said there is “no” hope of reconciliation with her older sister Aimee Osbourne, describing their relationship as distant and saying they remain very different.

Speaking on the We Need to Talk podcast on Tuesday, Kelly, 41, discussed Aimee’s decision not to participate in The Osbournes, the family reality show that also featured their parents Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.

Kelly said she could not explain Aimee’s reasons because she did not want to speak on her behalf.

“We’re not close, but I do respect her enough to, you know, keep her anonymity, if you understand. I believe there’s a reason for everything. It just wasn’t meant to be for her,” she said.

Kelly claimed Aimee, 43, “didn’t really ever acknowledge” her or their brother Jack Osbourne, saying Aimee was focused on her own life.

“She was just in her own world doing her own thing,” Kelly said. “And I do to a certain extent, if I’m honest, feel as though she was embarrassed of us.”

Kelly added that she struggled to understand their differences.

“I’ll never really truly understand. It just felt that way. We’re very different. Everything I am, she’s not. Everything she is, I’m not. Like you couldn’t be more polar opposite. We’re like oil and water.”

Kelly also discussed the impact of not having a close relationship with her older sister, saying, “one of the hardest things of my life” was that “I never got a big sister”.

“I do have a resentment there,” she said. “I’ll have that forever.”

Kelly said there was “no” hope of reconciliation, while stressing that she respects and accepts Aimee.

“If you’re not going to accept me for who I am, and constantly be trying to change me, and say horrible things about me, and truly seem to thrive when I’m not doing well, I don’t want you in my life.”

Kelly previously said in 2021 that she and Aimee did not speak, while Aimee said in 2015 that there was “an acceptance” between the siblings.
