'Dancing With the Stars' Season 35 pros salaries: What the dancers reportedly earn

Professional dancers on Dancing With the Stars can reportedly earn between $1,200 and $5,000 per episode, with experience and seniority potentially affecting their pay.

ABC reportedly does not publicly disclose individual contracts, while Jenna Johnson has confirmed that professional dancers can have different deals.

Reported figures suggest newer pros may earn around $1,200 to $1,600 per episode, while established veterans could receive closer to $5,000.

Dancers who remain in the competition longer can continue collecting their episode-based pay, meaning a celebrity partnership’s progress could also affect a professional’s overall earnings.

Season 35 features 16 professional dancers, including returning veterans Mark Ballas, Val Chmerkovskiy, Witney Carson, Jenna Johnson, Daniella Karagach, Alan Bersten, Emma Slater and Sharna Burgess.

The current professional line-up also includes Pasha Pashkov, Brandon Armstrong, Britt Stewart, Rylee Arnold, Ezra Sosa, Jan Ravnik, Hailey Bills and Adele Zaikman.

Several of the dancers have extensive experience on the programme, while others are newer additions to the professional roster.

Newer professionals could fall closer to the lower end of the reported salary range, although their individual contracts remain private.

This season, Mark Ballas is partnered with Maura Higgins, Val Chmerkovskiy with Jenna Dewan, Jenna Johnson with Harry Shum Jr., Daniella Karagach with Ezra Frech and Witney Carson with Guillermo Rodriguez.

Season 35 opened its two-night premiere on Tuesday, September 15, with eight male celebrities taking to the ballroom and one pair being eliminated.

After judges’ scores were combined with audience votes, Conner Leavitt and Adele Zaikman were eliminated on Night 1.

The second half of the premiere continues on Wednesday, September 16, at 8pm ET on ABC, featuring the seven remaining female celebrities.
