Shah Rukh Khan reveals injuries delayed 'King' teaser, says 'all broken is fixed'

Actor says repeated injuries forced production to stop and start, while Siddharth Anand continues to work on the film

Shah Rukh Khan has opened up about the delayed teaser for his highly anticipated film King, revealing that injuries sustained while shooting forced the production to stop and start several times.

According to Gulf News, the Bollywood superstar addressed fans’ questions during an interaction on X, where he joked about the film’s delays while also asking audiences to be patient with director Siddharth Anand and the team.

Responding to a fan who asked about the release date, referring to the film as a “sandwich”, Khan quipped: “Think about the bread crumbs too, they are the centre of the tasty tikki,” cheekily positioning himself as the centrepiece of the project.

The actor then revealed that filming had not been entirely smooth.

“Had a few injuries while shooting so had to start, stop many times but now all broken is fixed and nearly all done so all good,” Khan added.

The superstar also assured fans that the extra time was being used to deliver the best possible version of the film.

“Taking time to put our best foot forward so you all enjoy it and feel proud and happy with it,” he wrote.

Khan also praised the hard work that had gone into King, highlighting its action sequences, music and ensemble cast.

“Everything in King, worked very hard to entertain as many as possible. The action, the songs, the actors and of course my hair!!” he said.

The actor also confirmed that singer Arijit Singh was working on a track for the film, adding to the anticipation surrounding its soundtrack.

Khan’s light-hearted exchanges with fans continued throughout the Q&A session. Responding to one admirer who complimented his looks, he joked, “You are more handsome only the wind on me is better.”

King is scheduled to release on December 24, with fans eagerly waiting for more promotional material and a glimpse of the film.

The action thriller marks a major on-screen collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan. The film also features Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Arshad Warsi in prominent roles.

According to IMDb, the film follows Khan and his daughter as they navigate a dangerous criminal world and embark on a journey of survival against their most powerful enemies.
