Hiba Bukhari urges fans to remain respectful amid online disagreements
Actor says remarks were upsetting, clarifies her earlier post was meant to understand situation, not fuel hostility

Pakistani actor Hiba Bukhari has urged her fans to treat others with respect after coming across what she described as “really disrespectful” comments on social media.
In an Instagram Story, Bukhari clarified that her intention behind an earlier post was to understand the situation rather than encourage hostility among her followers.
“Okay. So I am posting this after reading comments and some really disrespectful things which I don’t appreciate in any way,” Bukhari wrote.
The actor emphasised that while she valued her fans, she did not want their support to come at the expense of respect for others, particularly her fellow actors.
“I love my fans and I know for a fact my fandom can not disrespect anyone,” she stated. “I respect my co actors and that is exactly what I expect from you all,” she added.

Bukhari also clarified the purpose of her earlier interaction, explaining that she had been seeking an understanding of the situation rather than attempting to fuel disagreements. “The story was to inquire what is happening,” she wrote.
Concluding her message, the actor appealed to her followers to remain considerate towards one another, expressing disappointment at the hurtful remarks she had encountered. “It’s a request to you all please be respectful towards each other! And it’s actually hurtful to see such things. Lots of love from your Hiba Bukhari,” she said.
Bukhari’s message highlights the challenges public figures can face as their fan communities extend beyond television screens into highly active online spaces. While passionate supporters can play an important role in celebrating actors and their work, disagreements between fans can also spill over into personal attacks and hostility.
The actor’s comments come amid continued public interest in her television projects and on-screen pairings. She starred opposite Danish Taimoor in Humrahi, which became a subject of online discussion following its release. She is also set to appear in Rutba, an upcoming drama featuring Mehwish Hayat and Haseeb Hassan.
