'Charlie’s Angels' stars reunite at 2026 Emmys to honour Farrah Fawcett

Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson and Cheryl Ladd reunited at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 14 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Charlie’s Angels and remember their late co-star Farrah Fawcett.

The three actresses took the stage to present the Outstanding Drama Series award after being introduced by Emmy host Mariska Hargitay.

Smith, 80, Jackson, 77, and Ladd, 75, were among the original and early cast members of the ABC crime drama, which premiered in 1976.

During the presentation, Smith acknowledged Fawcett, who died in 2009 at the age of 62.

“I would like to acknowledge someone not standing with us tonight, and that’s my friend, Farrah Fawcett,” Smith said. “She’s here with us in everyone’s collective memory.”

Jackson added, “Farrah was the shiniest angel of all.”

“She was loved by millions of people all over the world, and she still is today,” Jackson said. “They’ll never forget her, and neither will we. I’m sure you won’t either.”

Ladd also referenced Fawcett’s 1976 red swimsuit poster, saying it “lives in the minds and the garages of many a man.”

Smith, Jackson and Fawcett were the original stars of Charlie’s Angels when the series began. Ladd joined the cast for its second season after Fawcett’s departure and remained until the show ended in 1981. Jackson left following the third season in 1979.

Smith has recently discussed the show’s legacy and her friendship with Fawcett. She said the series continues to generate interest decades after its original run.

“People still send Charlie’s Angels pictures for me to sign every day,” Smith said. “Who would have dreamed the afterlife of Charlie’s Angels would be like this?”
