Oprah Winfrey is bringing her signature idea of an ‘aha moment’ to the Las Vegas Sphere with a new immersive entertainment experience.
Titled “Aha”, the two hour production is scheduled to take place across four performances from April 2 to April 4, 2027. Winfrey will appear live on stage, introducing a line up that includes Grammy winner Jacob Collier, poet Ocean Vuong, musician Ajeet and gospel singer Wintley Phipps.
The experience is being presented as an artistic exploration involving music, storytelling, light, sound, nature and ideas about shared humanity. Rather than functioning as a conventional concert, “Aha” is designed around the possibilities of the Sphere itself, giving Winfrey an opportunity to combine live performance with the venue’s large scale visual and audio technology.
Winfrey said her first experience at the Sphere inspired the project after she attended U2’s opening night at the Las Vegas venue. The scale of the building and its technical capabilities prompted her to imagine how the space could be used for an experience centred on wonder, reflection and connection.
The concept also has a strong connection to Winfrey’s long association with the phrase “aha moment”. The expression became closely associated with her television career as she used it to describe moments of sudden understanding or personal insight. Winfrey has previously explained that these moments often occur when a conversation or new perspective changes the way someone thinks about a situation.
“Aha” brings together an extensive creative team. Max Richter serves as musical director, while Ethan Tobman directs the production. Baz Halpin is producing and Tarell Alvin McCraney, known for writing Moonlight, is credited as writer. The production will also feature original work from stage designer Es Devlin.
The event marks another major expansion of the Sphere’s programming, which has increasingly attracted artists looking to create productions specifically suited to its enormous screens and immersive sound system. Winfrey’s involvement gives the project a distinctive entertainment and storytelling focus, while the participating musicians and artists add several different creative disciplines to the experience.
Tickets for “Aha” start at $145. Sales are scheduled to begin on September 25 at 10am PT.
For Winfrey, the project also represents a return to one of the ideas most closely associated with her public career. Her Oprah Daily platform continues to explore the concept of aha moments, including a 2026 workshop series focused on reflection, personal insight and new ideas.
With Winfrey appearing in person alongside performers from music, poetry and gospel, “Aha” is shaping up as an unusual addition to the Las Vegas entertainment calendar. Its April 2027 run will give audiences the chance to experience Winfrey in a live setting while seeing how her long standing fascination with sudden insight can be expanded into a large scale artistic production.
