Minka Kelly says goodbye to 'Ransom Canyon' after Netflix cancels romantic drama after two seasons

Minka Kelly has reacted to Netflix cancelling Ransom Canyon after two seasons, thanking fans and reflecting on her time with the romantic drama.

Kelly, who played Quinn O’Grady in the series, addressed the cancellation on Instagram on Friday, September 11, after the news was reported earlier that day.

She shared a video featuring herself and co-star Josh Duhamel, who played rancher Staten Kirkland.

“Appreciating this little trip down memory lane as we say farewell,” she wrote. “All good things must come to an end. And so it is.”

“Thank you all for giving us two beautiful seasons!” Kelly continued. “I love you forever my Ransom Canyon family!! 🤠♥️.”

The cancellation came less than two months after the second season premiered on July 23. Netflix has not provided further details about the decision in the supplied information.

Created by April Blair and based on Jodi Thomas’ Ransom Canyon books, the series followed three ranching families in a small Texas town as they dealt with relationships, family legacies and disputes over their land.

Kelly's Quinn was a musician balancing her connection to the Texas community with her life and career in New York City. Duhamel's Staten was fighting to protect his family's Double K Ranch while attempting to restore his position in the community.
