Nintendo has announced a Customer Appreciation Sale in the US, with discounts of up to 30% across Nintendo Switch games, accessories, amiibo, apparel and other products. The promotion will run from September 13 through September 26.

According to Nintendo, dozens of digital Nintendo Switch games and bundles will be available at 30% off during the sale.

Selected physical games, downloadable content, accessories, amiibo and apparel will also receive discounts.

The offers will be available through Nintendo eShop, Nintendo Store and participating retailers.

Nintendo said products and available offers will vary depending on the retailer and sales channel.

The company has also confirmed that tariff-related refunds helped fund part of the promotion.

Nintendo said it absorbed most of the costs associated with tariffs while seeking refunds after the US Supreme Court struck down the tariffs.

“The Customer Appreciation Sale is our way of saying thank you to Nintendo players for their continued support and is made possible in part by tariff-related refunds,” the company said.

“While Nintendo absorbed most tariff-related costs, the refunds helped make promotions like this one possible.”

The sale follows disputes over Nintendo's handling of tariff-related costs. In July, the company asked a federal court to dismiss a proposed class action brought by customers who argued they should receive refunds after purchasing products affected by tariffs that were later ruled illegal.

Nintendo argued that customers received the products they agreed to purchase at the prices offered and therefore were not entitled to rebates following subsequent changes to tariff policy.

The company has also disputed claims that it passed the full cost of tariffs on to consumers, saying it made “modest and selective” price adjustments while absorbing tariff costs on products including the Nintendo Switch 2.

The Customer Appreciation Sale will begin in the US on September 13 and run until September 26.
