'SNL UK' mocks Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s return to Britain in Season 2 cold open
The sketch opened with Larry Dean as King Charles III and Emma Sidi as Queen Camilla, relaxing at Balmoral Castle

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent return to the United Kingdom was mocked during the cold open of the first episode of Saturday Night Live UK Season 2.
The sketch opened with Larry Dean as King Charles III and Emma Sidi as Queen Camilla relaxing at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. Camilla joked, “I do love our weekends away. No responsibilities, just like every other day.”
The pair were then interrupted by the arrival of Harry, played by Jack Shep, and Meghan, portrayed by Ayoade Bamgboye.
The sketch focused on their close embrace and Charles’ apparent frustration at seeing them.
“What do you two want?” asked an infuriated Charles. “Don’t tell me you’ve spent that Netflix money already.”
“Daddy, it was $16 million,” replied Harry. “How long was it supposed to last?”
“What a waste you’ve become, you’re lucky your father is not around to see this,” Charles responded.
Meghan’s lifestyle brands were also referenced when she presented Camilla with an ice tray. “I made it myself,” she said. “I can give you the recipe. I’m a whizz in the kitchen.”
“She hires the best chefs,” Harry added.
The episode also featured George Fouracres as Prime Minister Andy Burnham, poking fun at his policies and public attempts to appear relatable.
“I will buy everybody a pint, because I want you to like me. I need you to like me,” Burnham said.
The first episode was hosted by Jeff Goldblum, who performed a jazzy number about spending time in London during his monologue.
