Candice Swanepoel addresses Joan Smalls friendship amid rumours linking her to Tom Brady and a possible model feud

Candice Swanepoel has expressed her continued respect for fellow supermodel Joan Smalls amid speculation that their friendship has been affected by Swanepoel’s rumoured relationship with former NFL quarterback Tom Brady.

A representative for Swanepoel addressed the speculation in a statement to TMZ, emphasising the models’ longstanding connection.

“She and Joan share a longstanding history and a friendship that Candice will always respect,” the representative said.

The statement comes after reports suggested that Swanepoel and Smalls may have fallen out over Brady, whom Swanepoel has reportedly been dating since June. Smalls was also rumoured to have been seeing Brady before his reported romance with Swanepoel.

Fans began questioning the models’ friendship after noticing that they had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Smalls also attracted attention after commenting “Two words: SUMMER HOUSE!” on a social media post discussing Swanepoel and Brady’s relationship.

Despite the online speculation, Swanepoel’s representative said the model has traditionally kept her personal life private, with her primary focus remaining on raising her two children.

The reported romance has also prompted discussion about so-called “girl code” involving Brady’s former wife, Gisele Bündchen. However, sources previously told TMZ that people close to Bündchen did not consider Swanepoel’s reported relationship with Brady a betrayal, as the two women were never close friends.

Brady and Swanepoel’s reported relationship became public in October, prompting further interest in the personal lives of the former NFL star and the Victoria’s Secret model.

Neither Swanepoel nor Smalls has publicly confirmed a falling-out. For now, Swanepoel’s representative has emphasised that the models’ longstanding friendship remains worthy of respect, despite the speculation surrounding their connection to Brady.
