The Blood of Dawnwalker success prompts sequel development at Rebel Wolves

Rebel Wolves is hiring Lead Writer to help develop next chapter of The Blood of Dawnwalker saga

Rebel Wolves has begun work on the next chapter of The Blood of Dawnwalker, following the game’s reported success after launch.

The studio, which was formed by developers who previously worked on The Witcher 3, said it is seeking a Lead Writer to join its Narrative Team in Warsaw or work remotely.

The successful candidate will report to Narrative Director Jakub Szamałek and help “craft the next chapter in the Dawnwalker saga.”

The role will involve managing a team of writers, developing dialogue and cutscenes, and maintaining the game’s lore as the studio expands the series beyond the story of protagonist Coen.

Rebel Wolves is looking for a writer with an established track record and experience leading a team. The recruitment comes after The Blood of Dawnwalker surpassed one million sales in fewer than three days following its release.

The studio had previously indicated that it sees The Blood of Dawnwalker as part of a wider saga. In June, Rebel Wolves teased a story spanning centuries and continents, suggesting that future instalments could explore different periods and locations within the same universe.

Szamałek previously described the project as an epic series in development, with the world changing between entries. The first game follows Coen, a vampire who hunts monsters in medieval Europe.

The search for a Lead Writer indicates that Rebel Wolves is now building its narrative team for the next stage of the franchise.

However, the studio has not revealed whether the next chapter will directly continue Coen’s story or introduce a different setting and characters.

The Blood of Dawnwalker was developed as a new intellectual property by Rebel Wolves, with the studio featuring several developers who previously worked on The Witcher 3.

The studio has yet to announce a release window, platforms or further details for the next chapter of The Blood of Dawnwalker.
