KATSEYE fans 'in tears' after denied entry at Manchester concert due to standing restriction

Hundreds of KATSEYE fans were left disappointed after being denied entry to the group’s concert at Manchester’s Co-op Live, with many affected by age restrictions for the standing area.

According to reports, some parents only discovered that under-16s were not permitted in the standing section when they arrived at the venue.

The concert was KATSEYE’s only Manchester date on their 2026 tour.

Co-op Live told the Manchester Evening News, "As standard, the venue’s standing floor area is restricted to guests aged 16 and over. This information was included within the event terms and conditions at the time of purchase through official ticketing platforms."

The venue added, "On the night, our team worked to support any affected guests and, where seats were available, offered alternative seated tickets. Unfortunately, seating capacity was limited and we were not able to accommodate everyone."

Natalie Cunningham told the newspaper that she had spent £568 on four tickets purchased through third-party seller Hellotickets.

She said staff could not assist because the tickets had been bought through a third party.

“We tried it twice,” she said. “They said, ‘It's third party, we can't do anything about it.’”

Cunningham estimated that around 500 people were outside the ticket office trying to resolve similar problems. “Her youngest was crying all the way home,” she said. “So yeah, it was horrible for the girls. It's really horrible.”

Co-Op Live states that under-16s cannot enter its standing area.

A Viagogo spokesperson said the restriction was displayed before purchase and in confirmation emails, adding that its customer service team had contacted the buyer to provide support.
