YouTuber Jack Doherty has been arrested on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge following a reported dispute at a residence in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The 22-year-old influencer was taken into custody shortly before noon on Friday, September 4, after Fort Lauderdale police responded to a reported domestic dispute. According to police, Doherty and a woman were involved in a physical confrontation inside the residence. Authorities said the woman was not injured.

Doherty was booked into the Broward County Main Jail. His bond was later set at $1,000 during a court appearance on Saturday, September 5. The court also ordered him to have no contact with the woman involved.

A mugshot released after the arrest appeared to show an injury on Doherty’s cheek. Authorities have not publicly explained when or how the apparent injury occurred.

A source close to Doherty told TMZ that the influencer was acting in self-defence during the confrontation. The claim has not been independently confirmed by authorities, and police have not released a detailed account of what allegedly happened.

The arrest adds to Doherty’s recent legal troubles. In November 2025, he was arrested in Miami Beach following allegations that he obstructed traffic while filming content and resisted an officer. Police also alleged that a controlled substance and suspected marijuana were found during the arrest.

Doherty later entered a drug pretrial diversion programme, while a marijuana possession charge was dropped.

The creator has also faced controversy over his online content. In October 2024, he crashed a McLaren while livestreaming in heavy rain, resulting in his passenger being injured. Kick subsequently banned him over safety concerns.
