Maj Gen Faisal made NACTA coordinator

Major General Faisal Naseer was appointed on Friday as national coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) for a period of three years on a "secondment basis".

According to a notification from the Establishment Division, the Inter-Services Intelligence's (ISI) director general of counterintelligence was appointed with the "approval of the federal government" and with "immediate effect and until further orders".

"With the approval of Federal Government, Maj General Faisal Naseer, HI(M), T. Bt & Bar, is appointed as National Coordinator, NACTA, in terms of Section 9(1) of NACTA Act, 2013, on secondment basis, for a period of three (3) years," on standard terms and conditions, as contained in JSI-4/85, with immediate effect."
