Robbery Suspects: Two arrested during Rs30,000 hold-up

Mujahid Police officials arrested two suspected dacoits “red handed” in front of an Allied Bank branch in Green Town on Wednesday.
According to the police, a man named Ashraf was intercepted by two armed men just yards from the bank shortly after he had withdrawn Rs30,000 in cash. The dacoits held him at gunpoint and searched his person for money.
Superintendent of Police (Mobiles) Romail Akram said that a call was made to Police Rescue 15, reporting that a man was being robbed. He said that Green Town police and Mujahid Force personnel quickly reached the scene of the crime and cordoned off the area.
He said that the police had caught both robbers “red handed” and arrested them. They had also recovered the Rs30,000 and seized their weapons, the SP said. He added that the accused had been identified as Rasheed and Jamshaid and a first information report had been registered against them. Further investigations were ongoing, he added.
