PlayStation State of Play September 2026 reveals new games and updates
Sony’s September 2026 State of Play showcased upcoming PlayStation games and updates, with new trailers and gameplay details spanning releases planned for 2026 and beyond.
The roughly 60-minute presentation included updates for several previously announced titles, alongside new reveals.
Marvel’s Wolverine received another look ahead of its September 15 release on PS5, while the Resident Evil film was also featured.
The movie, directed by Zach Cregger, is set around the Raccoon City outbreak and will release in IMAX theatres on September 18.
Ghost of Yōtei: Echoes of Sekigahara was shown alongside its Most Wanted roguelike survival mode. The expansion will include flashbacks to the Battle of Sekigahara and the return of Jin Sakai, connecting it to Ghost of Tsushima. Both arrive on PS5 on October 1.
Capcom also revealed more of Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, including its Skybound Eyrie setting and Elder Dragons. The expansion is scheduled for 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Other trailers included Metro 2039, which launches February 4, 2027, and Maneater 2, coming to PS5 in 2027. Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown will arrive on October 15, while Final Fantasy Resonance launches October 22 with a demo available now.
Gundam Rogue Orbit was confirmed for March 5, 2027, while Hunter’s Moon will release on October 26. Uncanyon is planned for 2027, with no specific date announced.
Keeper is now available on PS5, while Rev. NOiR is scheduled for 2027. Rhapsody in Scarlet is also in development for PS5.
Until Dawn 2 received new footage ahead of its January 28, 2027 release, with pre-orders opening September 10. Finally, Final Fantasy 7 Revelation was confirmed for April 8, 2027, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC.
