Theo James breaks silence on Meghan Markle’s 'The Gentlemen' casting rumors
Theo James addressed rumors that Meghan Markle could join 'The Gentlemen' Season 3, calling the speculation 'hot air'

Theo James has addressed speculation that Meghan Markle could join Netflix’s The Gentlemen for its upcoming third season.
The actor, who stars as Eddie Horniman in Guy Ritchie’s action-comedy series, was asked about reports that an ex-royal could appear in Season 3. James responded jokingly, saying Sarah Ferguson, the former wife of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, would be joining the series and playing his love interest.
James later described the Meghan Markle casting rumors as “mainly a lot of hot air” while discussing the future of the Netflix series with Town & Country.
“At the moment, we’re just trying to get as many eyes on Season 2, and then Season 3 will happen soon,” the 41-year-old actor said.
Netflix confirmed that The Gentlemen has been renewed for a third season. James also revealed that the upcoming episodes could expand the show’s world by visiting different countries, although he said many details remain undecided.
The Meghan Markle casting speculation began after reports claimed the Duchess of Sussex was being considered for an undisclosed role. Deadline previously reported that Markle was under consideration, while The Hollywood Reporter stated that the role was being written with her in mind.
However, a source said that although Markle has received entertainment inquiries and is considering opportunities, “nothing is confirmed right now.”
The rumors come after Markle and Prince Harry relocated from California to the United Kingdom with their children in August. The couple reportedly returned to Britain to be closer to King Charles III and are said to be looking for a home in the North Cotswolds.
For now, Markle’s involvement in The Gentlemen remains unconfirmed.
