Going down: LPG prices decline by Rs4,500 per ton

Haider expressed dissatisfaction over this decline, said this price was still out of the reach of a general consumer.

The price of locally produced liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been slashed by Rs4,500 to Rs81,000 per ton as Saudi Aramco contract price (CP) for October also got slashed by $51.50 to $791 per ton.


Acting Chairman of All Pakistan LPG Distributors Association Mohammad Ali Haider said on Wednesday that international prices of LPG are falling.


He said the price of LPG has decreased by Rs5 to 100 per kilo while 11.8 kg cylinder dropped by Rs57 to Rs1,170 and 45.4 kg cylinder by Rs230 to Rs4,500.

However, Haider expressed dissatisfaction over this decline and said that this price was still out of the reach of a general consumer.

There is a need to formulate a just price mechanism which is acceptable to every stakeholder, he maintained.
