Murder weapon seized in Hina Javed case

In the murder case of 45-year-old digital designer Hina Javed in the Lal Kurti area under the Civil Lines Police Station, the investigation team has recovered the alleged murder weapon, a screwdriver, from the possession of suspect and employee Zeeshan Arshad during a 10-day inquiry.

The team also recovered the nikahnamas of both wives of the main suspect, Hina's former husband Faisal Asghar, along with the divorce deed of his first wife, Iram Zaib.

The 10-day physical remand of both arrested suspects will be completed today, Tuesday, Sept 1, and they will be produced before the court for the fourth time tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept 2.

The suspects are likely to be sent to Adiala Jail on judicial remand this time.

The investigation has so far included DNA and polygraph tests, while the screwdriver and a rope have also been recovered. Lawyers representing the suspects are also expected to appear at the next hearing.

Permission has also been sought from senior police authorities for the arrest of the third suspect, the father-in-law of the deceased Hina Javed.

Meanwhile, the legal team representing the suspects is making every effort to have the third suspect, the father-in-law, declared innocent and removed from the case.
