'Big Mistakes' season 2 adds Lanterns star Poorna Jagannathan

Netflix’s Big Mistakes has added Lorenzo de Moor and Poorna Jagannathan to the cast of its upcoming second season, which is now in production.

Both actors will appear in recurring roles alongside returning stars Dan Levy, Taylor Ortega, Laurie Metcalf, Jack Innanen, Boran Kuzum and Abby Quinn. Elizabeth Perkins, who appeared in the first season, has also been promoted to a series regular for Season 2.

De Moor will play Leo, while Jagannathan will portray Dréa. Netflix has not revealed further details about their characters.

De Moor is known for roles in Italian films including Dolce Fine Giornata and American productions such as Another Simple Favor and You, Me & Tuscany. His upcoming projects include The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One, the Cliffhanger reboot and Maserati: The Brothers.

Jagannathan currently stars in the HBO and DC Studios series Lanterns and recently appeared as Lucky in Hulu’s comedy Deli Boys. Her previous television credits include Netflix’s Never Have I Ever, HBO’s The Night Of and Better Call Saul. Her film work includes Delhi Belly, Wolfs and Turtles All the Way Down.

Created by Levy and Rachel Sennott, Big Mistakes follows siblings Nicky and Morgan, played by Levy and Ortega, who become involved in organised crime after a misguided theft intended to help their dying grandmother goes wrong.

Levy serves as showrunner and executive producer in addition to starring in the Netflix comedy. Sennott also executive produces, alongside Anne-Marie McGintee, Jacqui Rivera and Timothy Greenberg.

Netflix has not yet announced a release date for Big Mistakes season 2.
