Off Campus star Stephen Kalyn joins Sydney Sweeney’s Housemaid sequel

Stephen Kalyn has joined the cast of Lionsgate’s upcoming thriller The Housemaid’s Secret, the sequel to the 2025 box office hit The Housemaid.

Kalyn joins a cast led by Sydney Sweeney, Kristen Dunst, Michele Morrone and Paul Anthony Kelly. The film is based on Freida McFadden’s bestselling novel of the same name and continues the story of Millie, played by Sweeney.

In the sequel, Millie takes a job as a housekeeper for a woman she is never allowed to see. She soon discovers a secret behind a locked door that threatens to expose secrets from her own past.

Kalyn will play Brock, Millie’s lawyer boyfriend, who is unaware of her criminal history. The role follows his breakout appearance in Off Campus, where he plays Dean Di Laurentis. He is also set to return for the second season of the series, alongside Mika Abdalla.

The actor’s other credits include Gen V, Cruel Intentions and Motorheads.

Paul Feig is returning to direct The Housemaid’s Secret, with Rebecca Sonnenshine writing the screenplay after adapting the first book. Feig will also produce alongside Todd Lieberman, Laura Fischer and Sweeney through her Honey Trap production company.

Production is scheduled to begin later this year, with Lionsgate planning to release The Housemaid’s Secret in cinemas on December 17, 2027.

Michele Morrone will reprise his role as Enzo from the first film, while Dunst will portray the mysterious Mrs. Garrick and Kelly will play Douglas Garrick. The cast also includes a receptionist named Marybeth, who works at the Garricks’ company.

Lionsgate has optioned McFadden’s Housemaid book series, including the trilogy, a fourth entry and a short story.
