Hannah Berner lands hosting gig on Paramount+ dating series Making Love

Hannah Berner will host Paramount+’s Making Love, a dating experiment from Love Is Blind producer Kinetic Content

Comedian and reality television personality Hannah Berner is set to host Making Love, an upcoming dating reality series for Paramount+.

The show marks another move into television for Berner, who previously starred on Bravo’s Summer House and has built a career in stand-up comedy and podcasting.

Paramount+ announced Making Love earlier this year as the streaming service’s first unscripted original series order since Skydance took over the studio. The platform has described the show as a “bold new relationship experiment” that will give singles an unconventional opportunity to take control of their romantic futures.

Specific details about the Making Love format and cast have not yet been revealed. However, the series is expected to explore modern dating and relationships through an experimental format designed to put singles at the centre of the matchmaking process.

Making Love comes from Kinetic Content, the production company behind popular dating franchises including Love Is Blind and Married at First Sight. Kinetic Content CEO Chris Coelen will executive produce alongside Ally Simpson, Brent Gauches, Lauren Dunlop and Jayson Elmore.

Berner has become a prominent figure in comedy and entertainment since appearing on three seasons of Summer House. She has also released comedy specials including Netflix’s We Ride At Dawn and Hulu’s None of My Business, following a 61-date stand-up tour.

Beyond television, Berner co-hosts the popular Giggly Squad podcast with Paige DeSorbo. The pair are also developing a scripted half-hour comedy for Netflix, which they plan to write and star in, with Amy Poehler and Kay Cannon attached as producers.

Berner is also set to make a guest appearance in Peacock’s upcoming A24 crime drama Superfakes. With Making Love, she will now add dating-show host to her growing list of television credits.
