18 years after starring together on screen, Indian actors Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan reunited for Haiwaan, with the trailer of the psychological thriller recently released.

According to Khaleej Times, the film revolves around a cat-and-mouse game between a psychopath and a visually impaired man. Both characters become locked in a battle of survival, fear and revenge.

Set against a dark and suspenseful backdrop, Haiwaan reportedly places Khan’s character in an increasingly dangerous situation after he is falsely implicated in a crime and arrested. As a visually impaired man, his character is forced to depend on heightened senses and instincts to navigate the threats surrounding him.

As per Indian media, Kumar, on the other hand, takes on the role of a cold-blooded psychopath driven by revenge.

Other than Kumar and Khan, the supporting cast for Haiwaan includes Saiyami Kher, who plays a police officer, Boman Irani, who takes on the role of a judge, along with Shriya Pilgaonkar and Sharib Hashmi.

Reuniting Kumar and Khan 18 years after their previous collaboration in the 2008 action-comedy Tashan, which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Anil Kapoor, Haiwaan is reportedly scheduled to be released next month.

The trailer has further raised expectations given its combination of psychological tension, crime, mystery and action.

Other than Tashan, Kumar and Khan also shared the screen in Main Khiladi Tu AnariYeh Dillagi and Aarzoo.
