AIBA rejected criticism of seedings for the World Championships in Azerbaijan.

International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA) rejected criticism of seedings for the World Championships in Azerbaijan. All nine Azeri boxers in the championships are seeded in their weight divisions under a system introduced last month which might give an easy passage to the medal rounds. “AIBA objects to insinuations contained in recent reports that changes in relation to the seeding of boxers were introduced for any improper purpose,” said the organisation.
