Rapper Blueface was detained by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies in Santa Clarita, California, over the weekend after police responded to an apparent swatting incident.

According to law enforcement sources, deputies were called to a restaurant on Sunday night following an emergency report alleging severe violence. Officers arrived at the scene and detained several people, including Blueface, as they investigated the situation.

Video shared on social media appeared to show Blueface being ordered to leave the restaurant while multiple deputies waited outside. The rapper walked toward officers with his hands raised and was briefly handcuffed while on his knees.

Blueface’s girlfriend and the mother of his child, Nevaeh Akira, was also reportedly at the restaurant during the incident. Footage showed her appearing concerned as officers spoke with the rapper. Blueface could be heard telling her to take his phone and return inside.

Authorities later determined that no crime had occurred and released everyone who had been detained. The incident is being described as an apparent swatting call, in which a false emergency report prompts a significant police response.

The latest encounter comes after Blueface has had several other interactions with police in recent weeks. Earlier this month, the rapper was seen in a social media video appearing to kick Nevaeh into a pool at his Santa Clarita home. He was also pulled over by police in San Diego for alleged equipment violations. Blueface was not arrested in either incident.

The rapper has not publicly commented on the latest police encounter. TMZ reported that it reached out to Blueface for comment but had not received a response.
