'The Gentlemen' season 3 is officially renewed as Netflix releases the first trailer for Guy Ritchie’s season 2

Netflix has officially renewed The Gentlemen for season 3, with Guy Ritchie’s hit crime drama set to return for another eight-episode season.

The renewal comes as Netflix releases the first full-length trailer for The Gentlemen season 2, which is scheduled to premiere on September 3.

Created, written and executive produced by Guy Ritchie, The Gentlemen stars Theo James as Eddie Horniman and Kaya Scodelario as Susie Glass. Variety reports that season 3 is currently in pre-production, although scripts have not yet been finalised and casting details have not been confirmed. Production is expected to begin soon.

Ritchie will return to direct season 3 and co-write the new episodes with Matthew Read. He said the ambition of the series has grown with its expanding world and increasing stakes, adding that a third season felt inevitable.

Season 2 will follow Eddie and Susie as they expand their criminal business internationally, taking their operation to Italy. Eddie is also becoming increasingly involved in the British establishment, where he encounters a new aristocratic figure played by Hugh Bonneville.

The new season will see the return of Ray Winstone as Bobby Glass, Harry Goodwins as Jack, Joely Richardson as Lady Sabrina and Daniel Ings as Freddy. Vinnie Jones will also return as Geoff, alongside several other cast members.

New additions include Hugh Bonneville, Giancarlo Esposito, Benjamin Clementine, Benedetta Porcaroli, Amra Mallassi, Tyler Conti, Chris Eubank Jr. and Maya Jama.
