The new photograph confirmed recent rumours that Storrie had received a buzzcut as production on Heated Rivalry season 2 gets underway.
Fans subsequently took to social media to react to the change and question whether the haircut could be connected to his character, Ilya Rozanov.
Storrie had previously indicated that he was open to cutting his hair. While promoting the first season of Heated Rivalry in December 2025, the actor responded to a fan asking about his curly hair routine.
“I’m ready to cut this stuff off if y’all want me to be completely honest,” he said in a Teen Vogue video. “I’m ready to shave my head. I don’t know who’s out there, but someone hire me and give me a crazy haircut.”
He also discussed the possibility of cutting his hair in a Vogue “Get Ready With Me” video released in January.
“Just wait until we do something, and until we cut it all off,” Storrie said while his groomer Kerrie Urban worked on his hair. “I want to.”
Production on Heated Rivalry season 2 has now begun, with Storrie returning as Ilya Rozanov.
