'One Piece' season 3 adds four cast members for Netflix’s Alabasta storyline
Netflix’s live-action One Piece series has expanded its season 3 cast with four new actors as the adaptation moves into the Alabasta storyline.
Emilio Sakraya, Omid Abtahi, Jamie Ward and Nabeel Khan have joined One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta, taking on the roles of Koza, Toto, Pell and Chaka respectively.
Season 3 will move the Straw Hat Pirates into the desert kingdom of Alabasta, the homeland of Princess Vivi.
The upcoming storyline will centre on a rebellion threatening to tear the country apart, with the conflict secretly driven by one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, Sir Crocodile, and his criminal organisation, Baroque Works.
Netflix describes the season as follows: "After entering the treacherous Grand Line, war is coming for Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew in the desert kingdom of Alabasta, Princess Vivi's homeland. A rebellion threatens to tear the nation apart, fueled in secret by one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the ruthless Sir Crocodile, and his underground syndicate Baroque Works, who seek to conquer Alabasta for themselves. In a season defined by unbreakable bonds and impossible choices, the Straw Hats must face a brewing civil war and a powerful warlord to save Vivi's kingdom before it crumbles into the sand."
Returning cast members include Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Charithra Chandran will return as Miss Wednesday, while Mikaela Hoover plays Chopper.
