Pakistani Mangoes: UAE emerges as top export destination
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has emerged as the top export destination for Pakistani mangoes.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has emerged as the top export destination for Pakistani mangoes as they imported about 19,984.37 tons in July to April 2010-11. The export of mangoes to the UAE registered an increase of 31.91 per cent over the last year and generated Rs486.96 million. An official of the Ministry of Commerce said on Wednesday that the export of mangoes in July-April 2009-10 was recorded at 11,528.70 tons, which was worth Rs 331.67 million. He said the United Kingdom (UK) was the second top importer of Pakistani mangoes, as it imported 12,152.67 tons worth Rs419.07 million during the period under review.
