Ariana Grande is calling out President Donald Trump after a video posted by his TikTok account used her song "Dandelion" alongside a message targeting transgender people.
The video, which was posted to Trump's official TikTok account, used Grande's 2025 song Dandelion over footage featuring a message about transgender people. Grande responded directly to the post, making clear that she did not approve the use of her music in the video.
Grande commented on the TikTok with a brief but pointed response: "What the actual fuck." She later added another comment making her position clearer, writing that she did not give permission for the song to be used in that context. "Never use my music again. Also, your truth is false," she added.

The incident quickly drew attention from Grande's fans, many of whom criticised the Trump account for pairing the singer's music with a message aimed at transgender people.
The controversy comes as Grande has continued to speak publicly about LGBTQ+ rights. The singer has long been an outspoken supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and has previously used her platform to advocate for transgender rights.
Grande's reaction also highlights the complicated relationship between artists and political campaigns or public figures using music online. While songs can sometimes be used through platform licensing arrangements, artists may still publicly object when their music is paired with political messages or causes they do not support.
The TikTok remains part of a broader pattern of political figures using popular music and celebrity culture to amplify social-media messaging, sometimes prompting artists to publicly distance themselves from the content.
Grande has not indicated whether she plans to pursue any formal legal action over the post. For now, her public response makes clear that she objects to her song being associated with the anti-trans message.
