LISA sparks new music frenzy with mysterious August 24 countdown

The BLACKPINK star has linked the campaign to Thai and English greetings while fans await a major announcement

LISA has sent fans into a fresh wave of speculation after launching a mysterious website with a countdown set to expire on August 24. The BLACKPINK member has not formally announced a new single or album through the campaign, but the coordinated rollout has prompted widespread anticipation around her next solo project.

The website, hellosawadika.com, uses a deep red visual design and centres on the words "HELLO สวัสดีค่ะ". The English greeting appears alongside a polite Thai expression, creating an immediate connection between LISA's international career and her Thai heritage. A live countdown dominates the page, while visitors can select their country and provide an email address to join the campaign.

The website launch has also been accompanied by activity across LISA's social media presence. Her Instagram bio has been updated with a direct link to the site, while promotional billboards carrying the same greeting and website address have reportedly appeared in Bangkok, including around Siam Paragon.

Another detail has added to the mystery. The website cycles through the word "hello" in 11 languages, including English, Spanish, Thai, German, French, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Portuguese and Italian. The international approach fits LISA's position as a global solo artist and BLACKPINK member, while the prominent Thai greeting gives the campaign a distinctive local connection.

The countdown follows several days of speculation surrounding LISA's social media activity. Earlier this week, she posted messages containing unusual capitalisation, including "hELLo uTaH". Fans quickly began examining the posts for

There is, however, an established reason to expect another solo project from LISA. She previously confirmed to Vanity Fair that she had started recording her next solo album. Her next era would follow Alter Ego, her debut solo album, which arrived in February 2025.

Alter Ego reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and featured the singles "Rockstar", "New Woman" and "Born Again". The album marked a significant stage in LISA's solo career after she established herself internationally through BLACKPINK's music and performances.

LISA has also been preparing for her VIVA LA LISA residency in Las Vegas. The residency is scheduled to begin in November and has generated considerable attention following its reported rapid sellout. The timing has fuelled further interest in what the singer could reveal during the coming months.

Her momentum has also extended into awards season. LISA recently reached a new milestone at the MTV Video Music Awards, becoming the first K pop soloist in the ceremony's history to receive 10 career nominations. She earned four nominations for the 2026 ceremony, further strengthening her record as the most nominated K pop solo artist in the awards show's history.
