'Yellowjackets' reveals final season premiere date in nostalgic Kurt Loder teaser

'Yellowjackets' season 4 will premiere on Paramount+ on November 20, marking the start of the show’s final season

Yellowjackets is officially heading into its final chapter, with Paramount+ announcing the premiere date for Season 4.

The fourth and final season of the hit survival drama will premiere on Paramount+ on November 20 for subscribers to the platform’s premium tier. The announcement comes around 19 months after the conclusion of Season 3, mirroring the roughly 19-month period the teenage characters spent stranded in the Canadian wilderness following their plane crash.

Paramount+ also released a teaser to announce the Yellowjackets Season 4 premiere date. The video features a series of 1990s-era television sets showing footage from the series alongside fictional news reports about the rescue of the missing high school soccer players.

Former MTV News anchor Kurt Loder appears prominently in the teaser, delivering a fictional report about rescue teams in Canada locating the missing teenagers. His appearance adds another nostalgic touch to a series that frequently incorporates elements of the 1990s into its story.

The Season 3 finale established the next major development in the story when Natalie, played by Sophie Thatcher, finally managed to contact the outside world using a satellite phone. The upcoming final season is expected to explore the aftermath of the team’s rescue and their difficult return to society.

Co-creator Ashley Lyle previously teased the possibility of exploring the characters’ reassimilation into society, including the new challenges they could face after leaving the wilderness behind.
