Polaroid unveils Pokémon cameras featuring Pikachu and Sylveon designs

Polaroid and Pokémon announce limited-edition camera collection featuring Pikachu, Sylveon and Poké Ball designs

Polaroid has unveiled a limited-edition collection created with Pokémon to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary, featuring instant cameras, film and accessories inspired by some of its recognisable characters and designs.

The Polaroid x Pokémon collection includes three special-edition cameras, with the range combining Pokémon-themed designs with Polaroid’s instant photography products.

The collection will be available in limited quantities, with pre-orders opening on August 25 ahead of a wider release later in 2026.

The collection is led by a special-edition Polaroid Now Generation 3 featuring a Poké Ball design. The camera will be priced at $139.99 in the US.

Two versions of the smaller Polaroid Go Generation 3 are also included. One features Pikachu, while the other has a Sylveon design. Both models will cost $99.99, making them the least expensive cameras in the collection.

Pokémon-themed instant film is also being released. Polaroid Color i-Type Film Pokémon Edition will cost $22.99, while double packs of Polaroid Go Color Film featuring Pikachu or Sylveon will be priced at $24.99 each.

Additional accessories include a Pokémon Polaroid Go camera case and photo album, each priced at $24.99. A camera strap compatible with both camera models will cost $14.99.

Mathieu Galante, Sr. Director, Licensing at The Pokémon Company International, said the collaboration reflected values associated with the franchise.

“Pokemon has always been about discovery, connection, and exploration,” Galante said.

“Working with Polaroid feels like a natural extension of these values: encouraging fans to capture moments that matter most to them in their own way and turn their favourite memories into tangible keepsakes.”

Pre-orders will open through Pokémon Center in the US, UK and Canada, as well as Polaroid’s website. The collaboration follows other Pokémon 30th anniversary partnerships announced during 2026.
