Sunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood actor Govinda, has withdrawn her divorce petition, bringing an end to weeks of speculation over the future of the couple’s four-decade-long marriage.

According to Govinda’s manager, Ahuja decided to withdraw the petition against her husband and the couple are not separating. Speaking to The Indian Express, the manager said Ahuja had acted on her emotions at the time and had since reconsidered her decision.

The development follows a public dispute between the couple after Govinda was spotted at an airport with his Roopa co-star Komal Rani Swarnkar. According to Gulf News, Ahuja accused Govinda of infidelity and questioned the age difference between the actor and his co-star.

She also referred to her husband as a “sugar daddy” and urged him to concentrate on his film rather than other women.

Govinda later responded to the comments in the Indian media, asking his wife to avoid making statements that could affect his reputation and professional work.

Gulf News has since reported that Govinda and the couple’s children have maintained a neutral stance on Ahuja’s decision. The actor’s manager described the episode as an example of disagreements that can occur in relationships.

“Sunita ji has withdrawn the divorce case against Govinda; there is no separation. Whatever she said, she felt that way at the time and has now taken the case back. It is happy news, and I like what she has done,” the manager said.

“My only regret is that the matter became very public, but these things happen. Govinda ji and the children are neutral about the decision. It is simply a case of someone realising their mistake and returning home, and that is a good thing. I hope God gives everyone such wisdom. Whatever happened was not good, but it is in the past now,” he added.

The development follows a dispute that reportedly began when Ahuja approached the Bandra Family Court in December 2024, seeking provisions under the Hindu Marriage Act and accusing Govinda of infidelity.

Meanwhile, Govinda’s Roopa remains in production, with filming reportedly ongoing. The film’s official release date has yet to be announced.
