Indonesia's I-Day celebrated

The Embassy of Indonesia in Islamabad hosted a flag-hoisting ceremony to mark Indonesia's 81st Independence Day. The event began with the traditional flag hoisting, symbolising Indonesia's resilience and struggle for freedom.

Following the formal proceedings, guests enjoyed cultural and popular performances that highlighted Indonesia's rich heritage and diversity. The ceremony was attended by diplomats, government officials, media representatives, and members of Pakistani civil society.

Guests observed formal attire, reflecting the dignity of the occasion. The participation of prominent figures underscored the strong bilateral ties between Pakistan and Indonesia. Indonesia's Independence Day, celebrated annually on August 17, commemorates the country's declaration of independence in 1945.
