Three share top positions in BIEK pre-engineering results

Adamjee shines as 9,922 candidates clear Class XII exams; pass rate stands at 55.08%

Three candidates jointly secured first position in the 2026 Higher Secondary Part-II (Class XII) Pre-Engineering examinations, with Adamjee Government Science College emerging as the top-performing institution, according to the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK).

BIEK Chairman Faqir Muhammad Lakho announced the results on Monday, saying the competition for the top positions was particularly close this year.

Muhammad Saad Adil, Abdullah Jamal, both of Adamjee Government Science College, and Ayesha Rashid of Bahria College (Karsaz) jointly secured first position with 1,006 marks out of 1,100, earning A-1 grades.

Muhammad Ahmed Raza of Adamjee Government Science College secured second position with 1,005 marks.

Hafiz Abdul Rafi Tariq of Delhi Government College and Anas Javed of Adamjee Government Science College jointly secured third position with 1,004 marks, also obtaining A-1 grades.

Chairman Lakho said four students of Adamjee Government Science College featured among the top three positions, describing the performance of government colleges as evidence of their strong academic standards and the efforts of teachers and students.

According to Controller Examinations Zareena Rashid, 18,464 candidates registered for the examinations, while 18,014 appeared. Of these, 9,922 candidates passed, putting the overall pass rate at 55.08%.

A total of 980 candidates secured A-1 grades, 1,781 A grades, 2,198 B grades, 2,659 C grades, 2,029 D grades and 216 E grades, while 59 candidates were declared pass.

The results have been uploaded to the BIEK website. Candidates can also check their results through the board's official app.
