NBA Ben10 breaks silence on shooting that reportedly left him paralyzed
NBA Ben10 has spoken publicly about the Houston shooting that allegedly left him permanently paralyzed, saying he does not believe Allstar JR should go to jail over the incident.
The two artists were reportedly involved in a shooting at Confessions restaurant in Houston on April 8. According to reports surrounding the case, Allstar JR was allegedly approached by NBA Ben10 and several other men before gunfire erupted.
NBA Ben10 was reportedly shot during the confrontation. Court records indicate that he suffered injuries that left him permanently paralyzed.
Allstar JR subsequently faced a federal charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm, along with an aggravated assault charge in Harris County. His case is expected to go to trial in the coming months.
Despite the serious injuries he reportedly sustained, NBA Ben10 has now offered unexpected comments about the case. Rather than calling for Allstar JR to face prison time, he suggested that the rapper was justified in defending himself during the confrontation.
“The whole thing went wrong but hey… if I ain't know the truth behind it… he ain't do shit wrong but take care of business,” NBA Ben10 said.
Meanwhile, prosecutors are reportedly expected to examine Allstar JR’s music as part of the case. His song “Mob United” includes a lyric referencing a shooting at Confessions, which authorities could potentially argue relates to the April incident.
Allstar JR’s trial has reportedly been delayed after his legal team requested additional preparation time, arguing that the case is complex.
The Houston shooting case remains ongoing, and further developments are expected as Allstar JR’s trial approaches. NBA Ben10’s comments have added an unexpected perspective to a case that has already drawn attention within the hip-hop community.
